Briefing webinar for travel trade on “2022 Employment Support” Scheme
The HKSAR Government announced in March that the new round of “2022 Employment Support” Scheme will be launched under the Anti-epidemic Fund to provide three months (i.e. May, June and July 2022) wage subsidies to sectors affected by the fifth wave, particularly small-and-medium sized enterprises, so that employers can retain their current employees and hire more employees when the business revives. The objective of the policy is “supporting enterprises and safeguarding jobs”. The Chief Executive also announced in early April that the Scheme will be enhanced by including the removal of the monthly salary cap for eligible employees. The application period of the Scheme is from 29 April 2022 to 12 May 2022.
