Briefing webinar on “Data Privacy Regulation Overview and Practice”
The European Union has implemented “General Data Protection Regulation” (GDPR) in May 2018. The new GDPR applies to all organisations dealing with EU citizens/bodies, and brings in new regulations on the collection, processing, storage and transfer of personal data, as well as notification of data breaches.
In view of carriers are now requesting travel agents to sign the Data Privacy Regulation Agreement, the TIC will organise a briefing webinar for members, especially the IATA Passenger Agents, about the regulation including the Agreement, the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (PDPO), as well as about the approach for handling the agreements, enforcement risks and trends for travel agents in Hong Kong. There will also be a Q&A session. Details are as follows:
