The new regulatory regime of the travel industry will come into full commencement from 1 September 2022. With a view to assisting trade practitioners’ smooth transition from the existing regulatory regime to the new regulatory regime, implementating the Travel Industry Ordinance (Cap. 634) (the Ordinance), and promoting the long-term and healthy development of the travel industry, the Travel Industry Authority (TIA) will organise a series of online information seminars for trade practitioners and relevant stakeholders on the TIA’s functions, the Ordinance, relevant subsidiary legislation, the directives applicable to licensees, the differences between the new and existing regulatory regimes of the travel industry, and transitional arrangements, etc.
