Travel Industry Authority organises online information seminars in August 2022
The new regulatory regime of the travel industry established under the Travel Industry Ordinance (Cap. 634) (the Ordinance) will come into full effect from 1 September 2022. With a view to assisting the trade practitioners to have a smooth transition from the existing regime to the new regulatory regime, thereby achieving the goal of the Ordinance in enhancing the healthy development of the travel industry in the long run, the Travel Industry Authority (TIA) is currently organising a series of online information seminars. Trade practitioners and relevant stakeholders are welcome to join the online information seminars to learn more about TIA’s functions, the Ordinance, relevant subsidiary legislation, the directives applicable to licensees, the differences between the new and existing regulatory regimes, the transitional arrangements, etc.
A series of online information seminars will be organised in August 2022. Targets are travel agents, tourist guides and tour escorts. Please click here for the schedule. The TIA will provide accepted applicants with the zoom link by e-mail in due course.
