The HKSAR Government devised the Northern Metropolis Development Strategy in the 2021 Policy Address, and the Sha Tau Kok Frontier Closed Area has been gradually opened since June 2022. Its aim is to let the members of the public have a deep understanding of its history and culture, natural scenery and tourist attractions.

In view of the positive response from the trade and the public to the Sha Tau Kok Frontier Closed Area Local Tour, the TIC and Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department will organise an online training course for holders of the Tourist Guide Licence and the Tour Escort Licence about the relevant information in order to enhance of the standards of the trade’s professional services.

Holders of the Tourist Guide Licence and the Tour Escort Licence appointed by tour operators that operate the Sha Tau Kok Frontier Closed Area Local Tour must participate in this training course before they can lead the tour(s). Details are as follows:

*Remarks: This training course is not under the CPD Scheme specified by the TIA. 

Participants are required to complete the online worksheet after the course (passing rate 70%).

After the deadline, the TIC will provide accepted applicants with the zoom link by email on 28 October 2022.
