To support the business resumption of the travel sector, the Financial Secretary announced in the 2023-24 Budget that the HKSAR Government proposed to launch the Dedicated Scheme with reference to the SME Financing Guarantee Scheme to provide 100% loan guarantee to eligible licensed travel agents and passenger service operators.

The “Dedicated 100% Loan Guarantee Scheme for Travel Sector” aims to provide 100% guaranteed loan to licensed travel agents and local tour bus operators, etc. in order to help them obtain commercial loans for resolving short-term funding difficulties, hiring staff as soon as practicable, accelerating operational capability enhancement and conducting necessary maintenance and inspection, etc., with a view to complementing the pace of resumption of inbound and outbound tourism activities.

The TIC and the Hon Yiu Pak Leung MH (Legislative Councillor - Functional Constituency, Tourism, Legislative Council) have jointly organised a briefing webinar on the “Dedicated 100% Loan Guarantee Scheme for Travel Sector” in mid-April, and will now organise a briefing webinar conducted in English. The representative(s) of the Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited will introduce the details. There will also be a Q&A session. Details are as follows:
