The "Deeper into Hong Kong: Creative Itinerary Design Competition” (the Competition) under the Cultural and Heritage Sites Local Tour Incentive Scheme will be launched by the Government and the Travel Industry Council of Hong Kong (TIC). This Competition aims to encourage travel agents to create in-depth tour itineraries and products with distinctive creative elements, with a view to attracting visitors to explore the city of vibrancy and cultural diversity where East-meets-West, and to offer unique experiences of local characteristics, thereby enhancing Hong Kong's competitiveness in tourism and promoting the quality development of the travel industry.

The themes of the Competition cover national history, green ecology, water-based, cultural heritage, pop culture and unconventional travel experiences. Each travel agent can submit up to five itineraries for each theme. The Competition is divided into preliminary and final rounds, and the winning itineraries will be announced at the end of this year.

All licensed travel agents are invited to participate in the competition to explore more creative itineraries for in-depth travel and to support the sustainable and healthy development of the tourism industry.

The TIC will organise an online briefing session to introduce the Competition with more details:
