CAD new regulations on air passengers carrying and using lithium battery power banks on board with immediate effect
In view of the latest requirements announced by the International Civil Aviation Organization regarding the carriage and in flight use of lithium battery power banks by air passengers, the Civil Aviation Department issued an advisory circular to airlines operating at the Hong Kong International Airport to update the relevant requirements and regulations applicable to all passengers departing from the Hong Kong International Airport on March 28, airlines can allow each passenger to carry on board a maximum of two power banks, and recharging these devices during the flight is strictly prohibited.
