In order to support the travel trade in promoting local tours, MTR now invites TIC members who operate local tours to include Shek Kong Depot in their itineraries during suspension of the Hong Kong High Speed Rail (HSR) service. Participants may visit the Depot and the “Vibrant Express” to experience a rare “High Speed Rail In-depth Trip”. 

The 26km Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong High Speed Rail (Hong Kong Section) runs from West Kowloon, connecting Hong Kong with the Mainland’s national high-speed rail network. Daily maintenances of the MTR operated “Vibrant Express” high-speed trains are performed at the Shek Kong Depot.
