Applications were accepted under the Subsidy Scheme with effect from 28 October 2019, with the aim of assisting tourist guides to constantly absorb new knowledge and upgrade themselves under the Continuing Professional Development Scheme amid tough economic environment in Hong Kong. It is expected that more tourist guides can benefit from the Subsidy Scheme with further extension of the application deadline until 30 September 2022.
