【Hong Kong Travel Trade Delegation: Cities for Individual Visit Scheme】 opens for registration

This year, “Individual Visa Scheme” (IVS) was optimised twice and currently covers all provincial capitals in our country, allowing more Mainland residents to explore Hong Kong’s unique appeals as a tourism destination more flexibly and conveniently.

With the funding and support from the Tourism Commission of the Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau of the HKSAR Government, the TIC will organise three travel trade delegations in 2025 that plan to visit Harbin City (Heilongjiang Province), Taiyuan City (Shanxi Province), and Xi’an City (Shaanxi Province). Throughout the itinerary, licensed travel agents and travel trade practitioners will be arranged to visit distinctive attractions to further facilitate a better understanding of the latest development, as well as to exchange with the representatives of Government cultural tourism department(s) and the trade. The TIC strives to assist the trade to “Tap Into” and “Go Global”, aiming to expand larger market opportunities and facilitate the two-way tourism exchange between these cities and Hong Kong. The Delegation will be accompanied by representatives from Government official(s), Legislative Council member(s) and main trade organisation(s), etc.

Licensed travel agents and travel trade practitioners are welcome to register for the Delegation:

1st Delegation Harbin City (Heilongjiang Province)

2nd Delegation Taiyuan City (Shanxi Province)

3rd Delegation Xi’an City (Shaanxi Province)

Date:

13 – 16 February 2025 (Thursday to Sunday, 4 days 3 nights)

Between late May and early June in 2025 (around 4 ‒ 5 days)

Between late October and early November in 2025 (around 4 ‒ 5 days)

Tour fee (HKD):

$4,390 / each participant

Remark:

At this stage, only registration for the first Delegation (Harbin City of the Heilongjiang Province) is accepted. If the quotas are exceeded in the enrolment, allocation of places will be determined by drawing lots. Priority will be given to admitting one representative from each licensed travel agent.
Priority of the quota of the remaining two Delegations will be given to applicants who did not participate in the first Delegation.
The flight is a group ticket. Change of flight is not allowed. Participants must go and depart with the tour group.
Tourist guide interpretations on Harbin tourism resources in Putonghua only throughout the journey.
The destination of the first Delegation (Harbin City of the Heilongjiang Province) is very cold and snowy in winter, with an average temperature of about minus 15 degrees Celsius and a large temperature difference between indoors and outdoors. Interested applicants may consider their physical conditions to decide whether to participate in the Delegation. Thank you for your attention.
