Applying for Ordinary Membership

* criteria marked are waived by the TIC Board with effect from 1 September 2022

To apply for Ordinary Membership, the applicant shall meet the following criteria:

1. It is a limited company incorporated or registered in Hong Kong.
2. Its only business is travel-related and tourism.
3. It is a member of one of the eight Association Members.
4. It has a minimum paid-up capital of HK$500,000, plus an additional HK$250,000 for each branch office.
5. It conducts its travel-related and tourism business within separate and independent commercial premises / buildings or with other members according to the rules.*
6. It employs at each premises at least a manager who has a minimum of two consecutive years’ relevant practical experience within the recent five years and another full-time staff member. * 

Fees

1. Entrance fee: HK$3,000
2. Annual subscription: HK$1,000 and HK$600 per branch

Applying for Affiliate Membership

To apply for Affiliate Membership, the applicant shall meet the following criteria:

1. He may be a sole proprietorship or partnership.
2. He is a member of one of the eight Association Members.
3. He shall provide a bank guarantee of HK$150,000 in favour of the TIC. * 
4. He conducts his travel-related and tourism business within separate and independent commercial premises / buildings or with other members according to the rules. * 
5. It employs at each premises at least a manager who has a minimum of two consecutive years’ relevant practical experience within the recent five years and another full-time staff member. * 

Fees

1. Entrance fee: HK$1,800
2. Annual subscription: HK$600
