Health Department’s appeal for caution
For persons travelling from Hubei province now in Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Department of Health (DH) requires these persons if asymptomatic, wear a surgical mask and continue to do so until 14 days after arriving Hong Kong, and self-isolate themselves for 14 days as far as possible. If they have a fever or other symptoms, they should immediately seek medical advice from the nearest Accident and Emergency Department, and inform the doctor of the travel history to Hubei.
For travellers who have been to Hubei Province in the past 14 days, they should call the Centre for Health Protection of DH hotline on 2125-1122 for health advice. The hotline operates from 8am to 9pm daily.
