Since the implementation of the “0 + 3” entry quarantine measure with effect from 26 September 2022, there is a gradual increase in outbound travel enquiries and start organizing outbound tour group. On the other hand, inbound travel agents are also in preparation to welcome overseas visitors again.

The Council reminds members to comply with the requirements as stated in Part 2 and Part 4 of the TIA’s Directives for Licensees to ensure that a licensed travel agent must provide each licensed tour escort / tourist guide with a duty list to set out the duties and responsibilities and must enter into a service agreement with a licensed tour escort / tourist guide before assigning duties. A sample checklist and service agreement can be downloaded from the TIA website, the details of which are set out in Part 2 and Part 4 of the Directives for Licensees.

Besides, the work insurance for freelance tour escorts / tourist guides must cover the entire duration when they are performing duties. For details, please refer to paragraphs 2.23-2.25 of Part 2 and Annex 2, and paragraphs 4.31-4.33 of Part 4 and Annex 4 of the Directives for Licensees.
